Singing Bowls - Effects on man

Sound massage with Tibetan singing bowls

Tibetan singing bowls foster awareness, harmony and human evolution and are also a means of contact between the dynamics of the terrestrial and celestial spheres. They are made from an alloy of seven metals which are in correspondence with the seven major planets acting as a bridge between man on earth and the stars in the universe. The subtle sound of the bowl  produces a profound effect and awakes the more silent areas of the body, where perhaps contracted muscles, from the effect of different stresses, have lost elasticity and ability to resonate in harmony with the entire body. Sound massage with Tibetan singing bowls produce a positive effect on the entire cellular metabolism: the first easily perceptible feedback  is on the quality of sleep, which becomes fully regenerating.

Rebalancing of the chakras with Tibetan singing bowls

The flow of energy within the physical body is regulated by proper functioning of the seven main chakras. These vital centers need to be regenerated and rebalanced whenever our physical and psychological weakens, a sign of the presence of impurities in the flow of chakra energy.

There are several methods to regenerate the chakras including meditation, the use of crystals and stones and the use of Tibetan singing bowls.

Tibetan bowls reproduce the sound of 'OM origin. OM is the original mantra of Creation, which contains in itself all the energy of the universe. Its sound is very short, consisting of the vowels A, E and U and the letter M, the symbols of the Divine Trinity.

Tibetan bowls reproduce the vibration of the sound through the use of a stick with which is run around the edge of the bowl and it generates a vibration.

The effect of a singing bowls is to rebalance the chakra for which it is used.

Tibetan singing bowls, combined with chants of monks in the east are an effective method to experience out of body experiences.

Tibetan singing bowls:

are usually made with an alloy created by the merging of seven metals (sometimes 5) each of which correspond to the seven planets of the solar system. A liaison happens between the seven energy centres - chakras – and the seven planets of the solar system that is created by the vibration of the seven metals of which the Tibetan singing bowls are made. This "symbol of the cosmos" carries the vibration of the 7 planets that govern life manifested in the human body. There are several types of Tibetan bowls, and their sound varies according to the proportion of the components of the alloy, shape and thickness. These are metals which are formed by the bells and the corresponding planets.

So, Tibetan singing bowls produce sounds in harmony with the vibrations of the celestial spheres, and transmit these vibrations to those who play or simply listen. This phenomenon is called, in technical terms, "Correlation of phase" when two waves tend to join and vibrate in unison. Thanks to this phenomenon when a Tibetan bowls is struck this  creates strong vibrations that propagate along the arm (if the bell is held in the palm of the hand) or along the point where it is leaning against (on the chakras upon which it’s been placed), massaging the part deeply. It is thus created a phase correlation between the bowl and the person producing a state of deep inner and outer peace that can go well beyond the simple relaxation to reach the delta and theta waves, the deeper states of meditation.

The human body is a set of vibrations and waves, and if the organs are healthy it means that they vibrate at the right frequency, while if they are sick the frequency is disturbed. The vibrations of Tibetan singing bowls evoke the original harmonious frequency and thus stimulate the body to tune into the frequency of finding its own harmonious frequencies.
Another way of working with Tibetan bowls is to keep the bowl in the left hand resting on the tips of the five fingers. Physically, this grip allows maximum vibration of the bell, and from a symbolic point of view it represents the female yin energy, containment (represented by the bowl), supported by 5 "Buddha’s attributes" because each finger is a form of manifestation of the Buddha.
The use of Tibetan singing bowls by an experienced operator can  create an energy bubble within which the operator can perform a treatment with adequate protection and greater effectiveness in addressing the subtle energies at play. One needs to bring the bowl up to the cardiac plexus (heart chakra) and play it with the stick in the right hand, strictly clockwise. This position correlates the creative sound energy of the bowl with the energy of the heart. Accompanied by sound that spreads ever more intensely, one then imagines the bubble of energy surrounding oneself and extending to define the space now ready to receive the energies in need of treatment.
