Chakra is a Sanskrit word that has several translations: circle, wheel, center, whirlpool and indicates one of seven basic energy centers in the body.

The Eastern doctrine that has spread this knowledge in the Western world considers the Chakras as openings, access doors to the essence of the human body. The major chakras are seven, (but there are many other secondary ones) and these are represented in the stones of the jewellery.

The quality and color of the stones help balance the energy of our chakras.
