Since time immemorial man has known the positive power of salt and its benefits to health through its purifying and neutralizing effects.

The Ionization

The air we breathe is full of electricity and therefore full of positive ions (+) and negative ones  (-). The perfect balance between them is the result of our well-being and it occurs when the air contains approximately 1000-1500 negative ions per cc.

For most of our lives we live in places where we are exposed to different environmental burdens caused by: appliances, air-conditioning equipment, computers, cigarette smoke and inadequate ventilation which cause a  big increase in positive ions in the air and therefore an imbalance. To restore the balance we need to enrich the air with negative ions which are supplied by the lamps, in an excellent and natural way. In fact, salt crystal, stimulated by air, light and heat, is able to generate about 1200 negative ions per cc after about 12 hours and leaves the environment in balance for a long time after that. This process causes the air of the home to become healthy and balanced, giving us the same feelings we experience in places such as mountains, the sea or near a waterfall.

Humidity 

Salt Lamps should be protected from moisture and therefore is not advisable to place them outdoors. We recommend dry clean only, and in case of contact with moisture, leave the lamp switched on for several hours to let excess moisture evaporate. Possible crystallization that may result is easily removed.

Salt crystal lamps have been elected third Product of the Year at BioFach 1996 in Frankfurt (the largest fair in the world, specializing in natural products).

Salt lamps also serve as an alarm bell against moisture. In the presence of water drops at the base of the lamp, although turned on at least once a day, it means you have an environment with excessive dampness and therefore there is need for special equipment to dehumidify.
